| It was rather nice to have a day without threat of rain, so sun, lovely greens and fairways led to some very high scores although there were still some in the depths of despair. Muslin and briarpatch are in a grim battle to pick up the most Crispy shots this season. The Secretary Bird was spotted with fellow hatched-out playing from the very back of the 13th tee, driving straight down the middle. There were an amazing number of high scores with some 39s not making the podium. It is to be hoped that they all put in general play cards afterwards. Winner with 47 points (10 shots lower than h/c) was Kevin Snell from Lewis Woodcock, Paul Godwin (-1), Lee Burgess (-3) and Jeff Andrews (-1). Sadly in the doldrums were Grampy, raspberry, 003ΒΌ, briarpatch, furrelled, badlady, camel_man, muslin, smuts, either_good_or_bad, node. |
